How to escape the Nautiloid? ›

You will be able to escape the Nautiloid ship by going though the helm and connecting to the transponder. You can reach it by passing through different rooms, starting from Myrnath's room, then going out on the open part of the ship and meet Lae'zel, heading to Shadowheart's Pod, and then going into the helm.

There is a button/command to exit turn based mode somewhere. It's on the wheel when you press R2 on PS5 where I'm playing it. If that doesn't work, The turrets are destructible. Lightning damage or blunt weapon damage both work well.

You can turn off "Turn based mode" on PS5 by going to to radial menu with R2. Normally when you get that for the environment, it means you will take damage from just being there.

Towards the end of the first act upon the Nautiloid ship, you'll enter a room on the way to the helm with a restoration point to the right and a glowing red pod to the left. Interact with the pod to speak to Shadowheart, who'll beg you to let her out.

As you pass through the crashed Nautiloid ship to the Roadside Cliffs, Gale will teleport through a waypoint nearby.

For that reason, we suggest freeing and not mutilating this new lifeform. Us is basically a small, temporary advantage in the earliest chapter of the game - a controllable, and pretty powerful (if limited) ally who has a lot of health and some good melee attacks that match many of the standard Baldur's Gate 3 weapons.

1: Yes, going evil will have some companions leave you (specifically Karlach, Wyll, and Gale... though I think you can persuade Gale into staying.). There is currently no way to remove the Illithid Tadpole parasites in Baldur's Gate 3. The twist is that once you start this 'Remove the Parasite' quest, you're offered several different options to choose from. How your story progresses ahead is up to you with what options you choose and how lucky you are.

At one point, you will be offered an Astral-Touched Tadpole, but taking it will turn you into a half-Mind Flayer. This is not an irreversible process, but in the lead-up to the game's finale, you will then be offered a Supreme Tadpole which completes the transformation.

The key to saving Nadira's life is the side from which you approach Nadira's location. There are two angles you can reach Nadira from; one that lets you see the bugbear before it attacks, and one that does not.

None of the main story has time limits, some side quests do but im not sure if any in act 2 do, time limits only start once you get within proximity of the quest giving event so if you're struggling early on then you're not gonna hit any of them and will be fine.

If you fail to save her on the ship, she'll be in a pod on the beach. If you don't save her there, she appears in the Grove. If you don't talk to her there, she eventually finds your camp and joins you. If you rush to the Goblin Camp without her, the artifact magically comes to your rescue.

While you can help him (and recruit him if you do), the Dark Urge can give into their urges and chop off Gale's hand instead. If you do this, Gale will be trapped inside that realm forever.

Shadowheart really requires you to put in some graft before she'll commit to a relationship, and you'll get well into Act 2 before you can call her your girlfriend.

In the middle of the room is a mind flayer "nursery" i.e. a pool filled with larvae. Upon interaction, you can Investigate to determine that it is about to break apart. If you try to touch the "nursery", it explodes and causes a small amount of damage to your character.

To free Shadowheart in Baldur's Gate 3, head into the room east of the pod. Head to the corpse lying at the other end of the room and pick up the Eldritch Rune. Head back to the console to the right of Shadowheart to use the rune. Place your hand on the console, then use the command to 'Will the pod open'.

After you help him with the monster in the bushes, he'll join you as a companion. Gale — Gale can be found by the Roadside Cliffs waypoint, which is a sigil on the side of the cliff. You'll need to interact with the sigil and pull him out to gain him as a traveling companion.

When you reach the basem*nt, you'll see a newborn mind flayer sleeping soundly. If you plan on killing the mind flayer, attacking while it sleeps in the best option. You'll surprise your enemy and take it down easily. Wake him to learn that he's hungry and needs sustenance.
