that’s life! Online Entry Frequently Asked Questions (2024)

Got some questions about entering our puzzles online? We may have the answer right here!

How do I enter online?

Complete the puzzles in your that's life!, then head to www.thatslife.com.au/win and follow the links to the online coupon for that issue. Fill in your details. Type in the answers for the prize puzzles you wish to enter. Then press submit and your online entry is done!

How do I know which issue to enter?

Just match the cover of the magazine that you want to enter to the cover image shown on the Puzzles competition webpage. You should also check the issue number on the magazine itself. It's usually printed near the price of the magazine. Please make sure you are entering the correct issue. Once submitted you will not be able to edit your entry.

Where do I find the online entry coupon?

Head to www.thatslife.com.au/win and follow the links to the online coupon for that issue.

Am I required to enter all of the contact details that the online coupon asks for?

We would advise that you provide us with all of your details as we may need to get in contact with you if you win a prize. If we can't get in contact with you there's a chance you might miss out on a well-deserved prize! Providing false details will result in disqualification. We will not contact you or share your details for any advertising purposes without your permission.

Can I enter more than once ?

Yes, but you may only enter once per purchased issue. Online entries are limited by one entry per email address. Any subsequent entries must be posted in.

Do I need to keep my receipt or magazine cover as proof of purchase?

Yes, if you have sent your entry in online. We recommend keeping your barcode from the cover of the entered issue.

Do I have to answer all of the puzzles?

No. You can answer as many or as few as you like! But the more you answer, the more chances you have at winning a prize.

Can I come back and answer more puzzles after I've submitted my entry?

No. All puzzles that you would like to enter must be submitted in one session. We recommend that you complete the puzzles and write your answers on the coupon inside magazine first so you have these ready to go before you start filling out the form online.

If I refresh the page, will I lose all of the information I have entered?

Just like any online entry form, it is always considered safer to not refresh your page if you want to keep anything you've typed in the fields. We would advise you to try to not refresh your page. If you have to refresh, you may have to re-enter all of the information.

I've submitted my entry but want to change an answer or my details. Is this possible?

No. Please make sure all the information in your form is correct and complete before you submit the form. Just like a mail entry, once it's sent in it cannot be edited.

How can I be sure my entry was sent to you?

After you hit submit, we can confirm your entry has been received.

Do I HAVE to enter online? I like posting my entry.

Absolutely not! We still love receiving postal entries, and have absolutely no intention of getting rid of the system in the future. If that's what you like to do then please continue doing so! Please keep in mind that if you enter via post then you cannot use that unique code to enter online and vice versa. (Tip - do not use bulky stickers or decorations on your entry envelope, or place anything in the envelope other than your coupon. This may result in disqualification.)

I live in New Zealand. Can I enter online?

Yes! Entries are open to our New Zealand readers.

How is the draw conducted?

We have developed a system where both online and mail entries will be included in a barrel draw. All puzzlers will have a fair and equal chance of winning regardless of entry method. We decided that this is the fairest system to ensure that no one is at an advantage over anyone else because of their circ*mstances.

How will you make sure the draw is fair for everyone?

We have received comprehensive independent legal advice, plus advice from an independent scrutineer to guarantee that each entry has an equal chance of being drawn as a winner. We want to make sure that all of our puzzlers have an equal chance of winning, and our draw process makes sure that happens.

How will I know if I've won something?

If you win something worth over $250 then your name will be published in our magazine. The rest of the winners will be published on our website. Our winners are generally published 3 weeks after the draw date so keep an eye out! There is no need to claim your prize, we will send your prize to you directly or be in contact if we need more information.

Do I need my that's life! Gold Club membership number to enter online?

No. Your that's life! Gold Club membership number is not required to access online entry. You must have your details and answers!

I need help with a puzzle. What do I do?

Why don't you head to our Facebook page? We have a helpful community of puzzlers who are always willing to assist.

The online entry coupon is not appearing. What do I do?

The online coupon may not be appearing as the competition has yet to start. Please check the start date and time in the magazine and on the website

If you are entering the competition after it has started and the coupon is not appearing, please refresh the page. If the entry form is still not appearing, please try again later. There may be interruptions to the page which we are working quickly to solve. The competition is open for four weeks from when the magazine goes on sale so you have plenty of time to get your entry in!
