[After Dennis' 5th birthday party is ruined]Vlad: [to his son, Dracula] Hey, what did you just do? A few more seconds and the kid's fangs would have popped right out.Drac: I don't care! It's... it's not worth it!Mavis: What's not worth it?Drac: It was my last attempt to make the boy a vampire so you'd stay.Mavis: By ruining his favorite thing? I know a place where we can hide. Follow me! [they run to a tree house as their secret hiding place][Back at the party...]Vlad: If you didn't stop me, my great-grandson wouldn't have to be a wimp his whole life, like schlumpy over here. [takes off his wig, blowing his cover]Drac: No! (Oh, too late…)Vlad: What's this now, you're not a vampire?Johnny: (Huh? Oh…) [guilty] Uh, bleh?Mike: Of course he's (a) human. He's our son( in fact). Dennis!Mavis: Dennis?
While the first one was about overcoming the monster's misanthropy, Hotel Transylvania 2 is about trying to accept humans, even though Drac haven't fully let go of his old nature. And the setup starts from Dracula's daughter, Mavis, marrying a human, Jonathan, then transitioned to them having a baby.
A year after the wedding, Mavis reveals to Drac that she is pregnant and later gives birth to a baby boy whom the couple name Dennis, nicknamed “Denisovich” by Dracula. As Dennis's fifth birthday nears, he has yet to grow his fangs and Drac worries that his grandson might not gain vampire powers.
Language. A few uses of "Oh, my devil" when characters are surprised or scared; Dracula calls his grandson his little "devil"; characters use the phrase "Holy Rabies" several times; Geez-1; Shut up-1; Imbecile-1; a "boobies" comment; several uses of the words "Butt" and a couple of "Fool," and one of "Old Man."
Given the story moves from the titular hotel to exotic locales like the Amazon, there was scope for the animation to dazzle us but it fails to. The missing touch of Genndy (who is not present as director but only as writer and executive producer) is clearly visible. The voice performances are bored, if not boring.
Hotel Transylvania: Transformania is likely to entertain young fans of the series and children over 5 years. It isn't suitable for children under 5 years because of its animated violence and scary scenes. We recommend parental guidance for children aged 5-8 years.
Summary. Adam Sandler's departure from Hotel Transylvania franchise was due to his deal with Netflix, not just creative differences. Brian Hull replaced Sandler as Dracula in Hotel Transylvania 4, impressing fans with his voice acting skills.
At the end of the first movie Drac was able to freeze Mavis along with the rest of the gang during the 'Zing' song at the party. Drac was able to hypnotize Dennis who is a vampire.
CeeLo Green did not reprise his role as the voice of Murray the Mummy due to being arrested. Keegan-Michael Key replaced him in this film, same said for Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (2018) and Hotel Transylvania 4: Transformania (2022).
Dennis (voiced by Sunny Sandler as a baby, Asher Blinkoff as a child) is Johnny and Mavis' human/vampire hybrid son, born on Friday the 13th. He physically resembles Johnny, but has Mavis' blue eyes and vampire abilities which he is still developing.
Dahl and Sendak wanted to probe the darker regions of the mind of a child. Hotel Transylvania 2 is what you might call frivolously scary: scary by mistake, or scary for no reason. The little girl bawling in the aisles doesn't get anything out of it.

In the end, Mavis decides to stay at the hotel for good with Jonathan and Dennis, with the extended family visiting him on holidays, and everyone parties the night away. Everyone is truly happy.
There are some adult jokes, some childish jokes, lots of laugh out loud moments but most importantly the following messages: Hatred against those we don't know is wrong; Let yourself get to know a person before deciding whether they are good or not; and go along for the ride and let yourself enjoy life.
Synopsis: Who knew monsters need to chill out once in a while, too?! They've got the perfect place in Hotel Transylvania, a high-end resort built by Dracula to keep his daughter Mavis safe from humans. But the Count goes into overprotective mode when a human boy discovers the resort and falls for Mavis.
People Can Change For The Better: Certain characters with negative outlooks or morals throughout the film slowly evolve into better people as the movie progresses. The main antagonist's opinion changes after sympathizing with the monsters he previously wanted to destroy.
