Welcome to the 12.4 update, the first Le Mans update since 2020! There’s much to look forward to, with summer nearing meaning that the three biggest races of the year are soon! Within the WTT world, we head to Lime Rock Park on this bright spring day, to use the Road course variant of this circuit for the first time in WTT! As long as you’re not stuck with the McLaren 12C Spider loaned car, this should be a very fun combo with the McLaren F1 GTR and the almighty McLaren 765LT! Many reckon track evolution and trajectory will be critical this week, so stay alert!

Performance wise, what do you expect, the 765LT will do what it is meant to do, and trounce the field. Great grip doesn’t mean it can take corners flat, but rather maintain traction to the tarmac even at high speed corners. Reason I say trajectory is key is due to the nature of Lime Rock Park, being such a short track while having such high speed.

While the F1 GTR is a great car in itself, I cannot see a way it will get higher than D this week. It does have speed and decent grip, but not the acceleration critical to get out of the corners.

The only way I can see this being a bad combo is if you’re in the 12C Spider. The only super slippery car of this week, it will be difficult to slow down and maintain speed through the corners. E is the best it’ll be able to do, as is typical for a loaner car. Fortunately, there may be a couple lineups this update where that won’t be the case!

This week’s sale is 45% off the McLaren 765LT. Its last sale was 50% off during its aforementioned last WTT six months ago.

Series Upgrades (1133323): R$663,685 and 124 gold (Remember that the 765LT got a PR buff to more accurately represent it in v9.7, but the series PR (thankfully) did not get moved up, creating a cheaper series upgrades cost than its event)

Event Upgrades (3333333): R$869,330 and 237 gold

Fully Upgraded (6444433): R$1,108,965 and 817 gold

Series Upgrades -> Fully Upgraded (1133323 -> 6444433): R$445,280 and 693 gold

This car has five series, Hybrid Horizon, Beautiful Beasts, All-British Battle, International Super Coupe Challenge, and its Exclusive Series. They pay 76, 74, 76, 75, and 150 gold respectively. This adds up to 451 gold, and assumes all other cars in respective series are owned and/or sufficiently upgraded from base completion.

Excellent car with great reliability for tournaments, whenever they come. Highly recommended to upgrade with the sale, due to that and a decent few series, despite FU’ing being expensive. It should pay back overtime, and hopefully no regrets!

Trivia: Supposedly, the Road Variant is longer than both the South and West Circuit. It also feels much faster and more flowing.

My WTT Performance Testing Center

This week started on May 20th and will end on May 27th. This is the first week of the much anticipated 12.4 update, lasting through July 1st.

At the time of writing, we’re still waiting for OMP sale info (I will edit later today when we have the info). It should be the McLaren Senna, given the Ferrari FXX K Evo is a Ferrari, and those typically don’t get sales since 2022 (insert IT’S A FERRARI!! Meme :P).

The WTT Performance Testing Center has been provisionally updated for 12.4. I will test the upcoming weeks on their respective tracks within a few days once the schedule is released.
