At Elolf STEAM Academy, students are learning how to code for the Robotics team. At Kitty Hawk Middle School, the library is equipped with large print books, which assist with decoding, better letter and word recognition, enhanced reading fluency, increased comprehension, and better retention. And at Veterans Memorial High School, athletes made history by advancing to the UIL Boys Basketball Final Four. Across the district, each family member ensures that our students are Producing Excellence.

It is becoming increasingly important to enable our students to compete in a global economy. As a district, we do this by ensuring we adhere to certain values: our decisions are viewed from a student-first lens, teamwork is how problems are solved, and it is important to hold ourselves accountable. We are results-oriented, using data to guide our instruction and any student-related decisions. As a staff, we value loyalty, integrity, respect, and communication. And in 2022, we passed a $345 million dollar bond to ensure we create safe and secure working environments for our students, teachers, and all staff members.

    Every year, each Judson ISD campus chooses one educator who epitomizes what being a teacher is all about. They remind us how vital the profession is to the overall function of society. After reviewing the application, Hartman’s Ms. Staci Vargo was honored with one of the District’s Distinguished Educators of the Year and $1,000!

(13)The Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA) Region 20 representatives awarded Assistant Principal Michelle Allen with the association’s Assistant Principal of the Year Award. Allen began her career in 2004, teaching fourth grade. A graduate of the University of North Texas, she continued her career in the Dallas and Houston areas before coming to San Antonio and Judson ISD. She began at Salinas as an RTI Facilitator before advancing to become an Assistant Principal at Masters Elementary, then back to Salinas. Read more about Mrs. Michelle Allen.

    In Judson ISD, it is common to find a staff member who has committed 10, 15, 20, or 30 years serving the district. That’s what makes Judson ISD a special place - recruiting amazing people, and retaining and growing the best.Things have definitely changed since Mrs. Olga Castillo joined Judson ISD 35 years ago: the Berlin Wall was still up, George H.W.     Bus Drivers

    Careers / Welcome to Judson ISD! (28)Judson ISD makes a point to recognize the quality of its employees, and this year, Jeanette Smallwood was named the Bus Assistant of the year. She rides one of their special needs buses and has worked for Judson ISD since 2017. She spent 25 years in a banking career before making the decision to take a position with the district. Staff like Smallwood are important in helping students feel safe and comfortable from the moment that they step foot on the bus to go to school until they get back home.     Police Officers

    Careers / Welcome to Judson ISD! (31)What began as a simple idea has become a yearly tradition for the Judson Police Department. Every year, with the funds from No Shave November and December, the department adopts a person or a family in need for the holiday season, supplying them with school supplies, gifts, or even paying off some of their bills.
