- Advising Appointments
Academic advisors are here to help you achieve your goals through explaining degree and graduation requirements at TMCC, helping you develop short and long-term educational plans, completing unofficial transcript evaluations, engaging in major exploration, outlining the transfer process and timeline, and so much more.
We encourage students to meet with an academic advisor every semester. We're here to help you succeed so it’s important that you prepare for your appointment and select the proper advising service.
Preparing For Your Appointment
To make the best use of your time with an Advisor, please review your program requirements in the College Catalog or your academic advisem*nt report in MyTMCC.
Write down your specific questions, bring them with you to your appointment, and plan to take notes during your appointment. Be aware of any enrollment holds on your account and connect with the appropriate department to resolve the hold before you meet with an Academic Advisor.
Advising Appointment Options
Please review the advising services below and select the option that best meets your needs. Some student populations (e.g., international students, student-athletes, students using VA educational benefits, etc.) must meet with an approved advisor, so please select carefully.
Important:For new and prospective college students, please contact the Recruitment and Access Center for orientation and initial enrollment assistance.
Advising appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes unless otherwise noted. It is important to arrive a few minutes early in order to check in at the front desk or virtually so that your appointment may begin on time.
